Lorenda E. A. Parker is a Human Security and Systems Strategist, Rights-Based Development Specialist, and Founder of Berecons Development Initiative (BDI). Her work sits at the intersection of human rights, systems thinking, policy, and development practice, grounded in qualitative research and cultural anthropology.

She brings deep expertise in human security, Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA), African policy frameworks, programme development, and initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her approach is rigorous and people-centred, prioritising context, dignity, and long-term impact.

​

She has collaborated with the United Nations and its funds and programmes, the Danish Foreign Ministry, and international and local NGOs, CSOs, legal entities, and development organisations across Africa. Meticulous and detail-oriented, she is known for translating complex social realities into actionable strategies, policies, and programmes, with strengths spanning research design, impact assessment, programme design and management, data collection, and business development, all rooted in community-defined needs.

Through BDI’s portfolio in food security, WASH, health economics, capacity building, and climate science, Lorenda advances a vision of Africa where dignity, equity, and inclusion drive development outcomes, and where marginalised communities claim their fair share of the gains.

Lorenda is a proud member of Rotary District 9104 where she currently stands as her club's Secretary-Elect (2026-27).
